1. Who we are
This site is operated by Seth Loyd, trading as One of One ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through findyourwhy.co.
Contact us at: support@findyourwhy.co
2. What data we collect
When you use Find Your Why, we collect:
- Name and email address — provided by you at the end of the questionnaire
- Your answers to 15 introspective questions — about your story, values, experiences, lowest points, and future vision
- Submission metadata — date and time of submission
We do not collect payment information, special category data (as defined by GDPR Article 9), or automatically track you with cookies.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Send all 15 of your answers to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your personalised WHY report
- Email your report to you
- Store your name, email address, and all 15 answers in our internal CRM (Notion), where they can be read by the One of One team (currently Seth Loyd) for service delivery, quality review, and support purposes
- Send you Donna's 14-day follow-up email series about living your WHY — only if you opted in at the point of submission
Who can see your answers: Your answers are stored in full in our internal Notion workspace. They are accessible to Seth Loyd and any One of One team members with access to that workspace. They are not shared publicly or sold to any third party.
Legal basis (UK GDPR): Processing your answers to generate and deliver your report is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given at the point of submission. Marketing emails are sent only on the basis of separately given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Third parties we share data with
Your data is processed by the following third-party services. All are data processors acting under our instruction:
| Service | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude AI) | AI-powered analysis of your answers to generate your WHY report | USA |
| Resend | Email delivery — sending your report and any follow-up emails | USA |
| Notion | Internal CRM — storing your name, email, and answers | USA |
| Railway | Web hosting — running the findyourwhy.co application | USA |
All third-party processors are located in the USA. Data transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent). We do not sell your data to any party.
5. How long we keep your data
We retain your submission (name, email, answers, and generated report) for up to 2 years from the date of submission, or until you request deletion — whichever is sooner. Marketing contact records are retained until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. To withdraw consent for us to store your answers, contact us and we will delete your submission within 30 days.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
To exercise any right, email support@findyourwhy.co. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
findyourwhy.co uses only functional cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site (e.g. session state). No tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies are used. No cookie consent banner is required or shown.
If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and implement consent before any non-essential cookies fire.
8. AI-generated content
Your WHY report is generated by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic. The analysis is based solely on the answers you provide. It is not a substitute for professional psychological, therapeutic, coaching, or medical advice. See our Terms of Service for full disclaimer.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will notify active email subscribers.
